2026 Razzies: Ice Cube's War of the Worlds Wins Big
The Golden Raspberry Awards, otherwise known as the Razzies, have declared their “winners” for the worst films of 2025, with Ice Cube’s stupendously stupid remake of War of the Worlds sweeping most of the categories. War of the Worlds won Worst Picture, Worst Prequel, Remake Rip-Off or Sequel, and Worst Screenplay, while Ice Cube claimed Worst Actor and the film’s director, Rich Lee, was awarded (?) Worst Director. Other notable winners included Rebel Wilson, whose performance in Bride Hard earned her Worst Actress, and while Seven Artificial Dwarfs from Snow White were honored with both Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Screen Combo. The Razzies, traditionally handed out the Saturday before the Oscars, have always had a love-hate relationship with the industry. While the organization has faced controversy in years past for mocking 12-year-olds and its treatment of Bruce Willis, director Francis Ford Coppola was proud to be a three-time nominee, and winner of Worst Director, for 2024’s Megalopolis.
