Mar 5, 2026 9:30am PT Daisy Edgar-Jones Starring in ‘Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow’ Movie Adaptation (EXCLUSIVE) By Brent Lang, Rebecca Rubin Courtesy of Jason Hetherington Daisy Edgar-Jones will star in Paramount‘s upcoming adaptation of Gabrielle Zevin’s best-selling novel “Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow.” It’s the story of two friends whose lives first intersect in childhood and college, following them as they become creative partners in the video game business. Edgar-Jones will play Sadie Green, a brilliant game designer. Siân Heder, an Oscar-winner for “CODA,” is directing and writing the screenplay based on drafts by Mark Bomback and Zevin. Set over several decades, the plot follows Sadie and her co-collaborator Sam Masur, as well as Sam’s roommate and friend Marx Watanabe, as they build a video game studio called Unfair Games. The roles of Sam and Marx haven’t been cast. Popular on Variety Edgar-Jones first gained notice starring opposite Paul Mescal in 2020’s acclaimed limited series “Normal People,” earning nominations for a British Academy Television Award and a Golden Globe Award. She then starred in such box office hits as 2022’s “Where the Crawdads Sing” and 2024’s “Twisters.” Other film credits include “On Swift Horses” and “Fresh.” On TV, she earned another Golden Globe nomination for FX/Hulu’s 2022 miniseries “Under the Banner of Heaven.” Edgar-Jones will next star in a new adaptation of Jane Austen’s “Sense and Sensibility” from director Georgia Oakley, which Focus Features will release this fall. She’s also set to appear opposite Denzel Washington and Robert Pattinson in the Fernando Meirelles-directed “Here Comes the Flood” for Netflix, as well as Chloe Dumont’s thriller “A Place in Hell” alongside Michelle Williams and Andrew Scott. Edgar-Jones has appeared on stage in the 2024 West End revival of the Tennessee Williams classic “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” with Kingsley Ben-Adir.
