Deer Tick have announced their new album, Coin-O-Matic, and shared lead single “Mary Singletary.” With the record out June 5th via ATO, they’ve also revealed a run of North American tour dates covering summer and fall of 2026. Recorded in the band’s home studio in Providence, Rhode Island, Deer Tick’s ninth LP is also their first self-produced effort. Guests include Los Lobos’ Steve Berlin on baritone saxophone and former bandmate Rob Crowell on organ. Get Deer Tick Tickets Here The album centers on “the hidden histories of the band’s home state of Rhode Island, where the everyday dramas of working-class families long collided with the menace of the mafia underworld,” according to a press release. The Coin-O-Matic title is a reference the cigarette-vending-machine company front of legendary Providence mobster Raymond Patriarca, which is pictured on the album cover (see below, along with the tracklist). Advertisement Related Video Frontman John McCauley recalled growing up in a world where you saw mobsters on the news and at local restaurants: “They were criminals but also very colorful characters, and I wanted the album to partly reflect a certain nostalgia for that kind of seediness.” Lead single “Mary Singletary” is set in that bygone generation, though it doesn’t focus on criminals. Instead, it looks at “Catholic guilt and pre-marital sex and adding in a little bit of Looney Tunes-style violence.” Watch the music video for the track below. Per-orders for Coin-O-Matic are going on now. Tickets for their extensive tour schedule, meanwhile, will be available beginning March 13th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. A block of East Coast dates will take up June, and Deer Tick will run through the rest of the country and parts of Canada throughout September, October, and November. Find their full itinerary ahead.
