The new trailer offers the first extended look at Season 2 of the anime adaptation of Q-Hayashida’s long-running manga. It plunges viewers back into the world of Hole and teases further revelations about the past of lizard-headed amnesiac protagonist Caiman and the conflicts between Hole’s residents and the sorcerers’ world. Uchiyama Koki will voice Dokuga, with Hamano Daiki as Tetsujo, Koshimura Yuichi as Saji, Nomura Katsuhito as Ton, Imaruoka Atsushi as Ushishimada, and Matsumoto Sara as Natsuki. Popular on Variety Hamano offered a characterization of his role: “As a Cross-Eyes executive, Tetsujo spends his days hustling to finish piecework – I mean, struggling to keep the gang’s finances afloat. In a world where common sense doesn’t exist, he’s a surprisingly grounded guy. Facing hardships alongside Dokuga and the others, how will he navigate the world of Dorohedoro?” (K)now_Name, which composed the music for Season 1, will return to provide the opening theme, “Zettai Must Danmen,” and the ending theme, “Return To Head,” along with the background score. The group’s participating members are Ayaka Tachibana, Nikeii, and R·O·N. “It’s a tremendous honor to participate in the world of Dorohedoro again for Season 2’s OP/ED/BGM,” said R·O·N. “I worked on the music, aiming to color the work with a wide range of genres and sounds. I’d be thrilled if you could enjoy it while paying close attention to every single note alongside the visuals. To all Dorohedoro fans around the world, please look forward to it.” Hayashi Yuichiro, who directed “Attack on Titan: The Final Season,” returns as director, with MAPPA continuing as the animation studio. The studio has previously produced “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “Zombie Land Saga,” among other titles. Season 2 is set to premiere April 1 on Crunchyroll and other platforms. In tandem with the trailer announcement, Toho launched an official global website for the series, which will serve as a centralized hub for streaming availability and further updates ahead of the premiere. Season 1 of “Dorohedoro” has also begun expanding to additional streaming platforms. Q-Hayashida’s source manga was serialized for 18 years beginning in 2000, running to 23 volumes. The anime adaptation first aired in 2020, and Season 2 arrives six years later.
