Empire of the Sun have announced their “Ask That God: Afterlife” tour, a 2026 North American run taking place through the late summer and fall.
The tour follows Empire of the Sun’s 2025 “Ask That God” trek, which took place in support of their 2024 album of the same name. Now, serving as the “final installment” of the Ask That God journey, they’ll be resurrecting the tour for its “Afterlife” era with Polo & Pan and Midnight Generation joining the run as support.

After a handful of festival dates — including stops at Osheaga and Outside Lands — Empire of the Sun’s 2026 tour will commence with a return to Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado on August 11th. They’ll continue with shows in cities like Kansas City, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Toronto, New York City, Columbia (Maryland), Philadelphia, Charlotte, Miami, Tampa, Dallas, Austin, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, and many more. The run concludes with a performance in Las Vegas on October 9th; see Empire of the Sun’s full list of tour dates below.

“It feels like a very pivotal time,” frontman Luke Steele said in a statement about the upcoming tour. “We have a new song to sing, we have to step into a new doorway — a new chapter. The world is changing. It feels like a revolution in the world and we have to unite. Love is the power weapon.”
He continued, highlighting the tour’s emphasis on optimism, transformation, and rebirth. “Ask That God: Afterlife feels like a tour of unknowns and possibilities — new visions, new plateaus, fragile breakthroughs. I think things are going to happen on this tour that have never happened before. We can’t wait to take this music and this tour to new frontiers. Let’s break barriers together.”
Empire of the Sun returned in 2024 to offer Ask That God, which served as their first new album in eight years upon release. Last year, they released a digital deluxe edition of the album with additional tracks “Dark Secrets” and “Somebody’s Son” featuring Lindsey Buckingham. Get Ask That God on vinyl here.
