Created by Lee Sung Jin, the series returns with a new cast and storyline following the breakout success of the first installment, which starred Steven Yeun and Ali Wong. He said, “Finneas is the brilliant mind behind most of the music that has soundtracked my personal life over the last decade.” He added, “He has an incredible ability to make the darkest emotions sound so achingly beautiful.” Beyond his chart success, O’Connell has steadily expanded into film and television composition. He previously wrote the score for the HBO Max drama “The Fallout” and B.J. Novak’s dark comedy “Vengeance,” while also composing music for Alfonso Cuarón’s Apple TV+ series “Disclaimer.” His songwriting work on the “Barbie” ballad “What Was I Made For?” earned him an Academy Award and two Grammys. This season, Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny star as a young couple working at a country club who witness an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, played by Oscar Isaac (“Frankenstein”) and Carey Mulligan (“Promising Young Woman”).
