In other Franz Ferdinand news, frontman Alex Kapranos has slammed the Israeli Defense Forces for using the band’s hit song “Take Me Out” in a propaganda video posted to social media. The video featured images like fighter planes and explosions while the viral song played. “These warmongering murderers are using our music without our consent,” Kapranos wrote via an Instagram story in response. “This makes us both nauseous and furious. Kind of typical though, isn’t it? To strut up and take what isn’t theirs with a vile arrogance…” Advertisement Franz Ferdinand have long made their political opinions clear. In addition to taking their name from the famously assassinated Archduke, the band released the anti-Trump song “Demagogue” back in 2016. Their latest full-length release was last year’s The Human Fear (pick up a physical copy here).
