As the film industry gathers in Hong Kong for FilMart, Reliance Media Entertainment has arrived with a packed slate that spans action, fantasy, historical documentaries and even unscripted television – signalling a broad push into internationally marketable genre storytelling.
Leading the lineup is “Furious Attack,” an action thriller directed by Huang Yi and starring martial arts heavyweights Andy On and Philip Ng. The film follows a former special forces soldier who infiltrates a dangerous criminal enclave in northern Myanmar in search of his missing daughter.

Also generating buzz is “The Butcher’s Blade,” a period action drama directed by Liu Wenpu and produced by Wei Junzi. Set during the Song Dynasty, the film stars Liu Fengchao as Xue Buyi, a disciplined but rigid constable who becomes the target of a conspiracy after being framed for a robbery. The film blends classic wuxia swordplay with the darker tone of a crime thriller.

“My Date With a Vampire” is a feature adaptation of the cult urban fantasy franchise created by Chan Sap Sam, who also directs the film. Starring Bosco Wong and Karena Ng, the story revisits the supernatural world of vampire hunters and immortal beings living among humans, blending romance, action and exorcism mythology.
The company’s slate also includes several documentary projects. “The Hump” explores the perilous air route flown by the Flying Tigers to supply China during World War II, reconstructing the history through interviews with pilots’ descendants and archival materials. Meanwhile, “Kungfu Stuntmen: Never Say No!” pays tribute to the generations of stunt performers whose daring work helped define Hong Kong’s global reputation for action cinema.
Beyond film, Reliance is also presenting “Crazy Celeb Social,” billed as the first English-language reality series produced in Hong Kong. Set to stream on Amazon Prime this month, the show offers a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of Asian celebrities and high-society personalities.
Completing the slate are library titles including “The Grey Men,” along with genre favorites “God of Return Gamblers,” “Burning Blood” and the action-fantasy films “Iceman” and “Iceman: Time Traveler.”
