It will be filmed in front of a live studio audience, featuring an interview with Cyrus hosted by “Call Her Daddy” star Alex Cooper. The show, which followed Miley Stewart, a teenager living in Malibu, Calif., who doubles as the famous pop singer Hannah Montana, was a major hit with kids and tweens. It even spawning a film, “Hannah Montana: The Movie,” which was released in theaters in April 2009 during the show’s third season. Popular on Variety In addition to Cyrus, Emily Osment played Lilly Truscott, Hannah’s best friend. Mitchel Musso played Oliver Oken, another one of her close friends. Cyrus’ real-life father Billy Ray Cyrus played Hannah’s dad, Robby, and Jason Earles played her brother, Jackson. Moisés Arias played Rico Suave, the manager of the local Rico’s Surf Shop. A number of high-profile guest stars also made appearances during the show’s run, including Dolly Parton, Selena Gomez, the Jonas Brothers, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Larry David, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Kelly Ripa and Lisa Rinna.
