In the video released Friday (March 6), Styles opens on what appears to be a film set, pretending to ride on a motorcycle in front of special-effects screen as his yellow tie blows over his shoulder from “wind” provided by an electric fan. He goes on to shoot various scenes for the unspecified project, including one where he drives his car under the belly of a truck that lights on fire and another where he runs away from an explosion in a desert.
“‘I’ve known you for ages,’ it’s all that I’ve heard/ My friends are in love with American girls,” the singer croons as the footage alternates between him filming sequences on location versus film sets made to look like those same scenic locations. “I’ve seen it in stages all over the world/ My friends are in love with American girls.”
The visual arrives hours after Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally dropped, featuring 12 tracks. Among them is Billboard Hot 100-topping lead single “Aperture,” which got a dance-filled music video of its own in January.
Styles’ next step in the Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally rollout will be a one-night-only show at the Co-op Live in Manchester, England, on the evening of the album’s release. Two days later, a Netflix concert film capturing the show will premiere, setting the stage for the Grammy winner to embark on his Together, Together tour in May.
