Variety understands that the project is an adaptation of Johar’s 2006 film “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.” Produced by Johar, Adar Poonawalla and Apoorva Mehta, the series follows two couples whose lives are thrown into upheaval when their spouses are drawn into an all-consuming relationship, forcing each to choose between duty and desire. The logline maps closely onto “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna,” Johar’s film about marital dissatisfaction and infidelity that starred Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta and Abhishek Bachchan.
