Ice Nine Kills tops Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart for the first time — and Mckenna Grace makes her first run to No. 1 overall — thanks to their collaboration “Twisting the Knife.”
The team-up debuts at No. 1 on the Hot Hard Rock Songs list dated March 7 following its first full week of chart measurement after its Feb. 19 release. In the Feb. 20-26 tracking period, it totaled 1.4 million official U.S. streams, 183,000 radio audience impressions and 1,000 downloads sold, according to Luminate.

The lattermost count also sends the song to No. 1 on Hard Rock Digital Song Sales, where it’s the band’s second ruler, following “The Laugh Track” in 2025, and Grace’s first.
“Twisting the Knife” scored 215,000 streams and 1,000 in sales Feb. 19, begetting a No. 4 bow on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart dated Feb. 28.
Ice Nine Kills’ previous best rank on Hot Hard Rock Songs was “A Work of Art” (featuring SHAVO), which debuted and peaked at No. 3 in 2024. The band has seven total top 10s on the tally since its 2020 inception.
Additionally, “Twisting the Knife” starts at No. 40 on Mainstream Rock Airplay.
The track is Grace’s first Billboard chart entry. Though mostly known as an actor, she has released music since 2021 via Photo Finish Records.
The connection between the artists? Grace is one of the stars of Scream 7, in which “Twisting the Knife” is featured. Ice Nine Kills’ inclusion on the soundtrack is apt, as many of the band’s songs are themed after works in the horror genre.
Scream 7 premiered in theaters Feb. 27.
