The one that seems to have creeped out a majority of players is the Giant Spider. “I am usually fine with spiders in video games, but that is one fucking scary spider that I am sure people with arachnophobia might legit have an actual panic attack [over],” wrote one fan on Reddit. Modders have already created an “Arachnophobia” add-on that turns the eight-legged freaks into formless blobs or Thomas The Tank Engine. Another player who isn’t a fan of the Giant Spider is rapper Ice-T. Taking to X, he wrote: “Gamer Stuff: Resident Evil 9… FUCK that spider.” Leon actor Nick Apostolides replied saying the beast “wasn’t that big”.
