'Fatal Attraction' / Jamie Lee Curtis in 'Halloween'
Jamie Lee Curtis is set to produce a psychological thriller titled Closed Set via her Comet Pictures.
The film is “about an intimacy coordinator who goes rogue, and it becomes like Fatal Attraction,” Curtis tells THR.
The horror icon is developing the project with filmmaker Russell Goldman, who recently made his feature directorial on the paranoid thriller Sender.
No word on whether there’s an on-screen role for Curtis in Closed Set, but she co-stars in Sender, which premieres this weekend at SXSW.
Britt Lower (“Severance”) stars a woman tumbles down a paranoid rabbit hole to find her mysterious sender after receiving a series of unwanted packages containing unnervingly targeted items.
Curtis and Goldman previously co-wrote the unproduced eco-horror movie Mother Nature for Blumhouse. Although that film has proven to be cost prohibitive, Curtis still hopes to make it with Goldman in the director’s chair.

Dacre Montgomery Shows His ‘Faces of Death’ on New Artwork

The two faces of Dacre Montgomery (“Stranger Things”) make up the new artwork for Faces of Death, a meta horror remake of the notorious 1978 faux documentary.
The film hits theaters April 10 via Independent Film Company and Shudder. Before that, it will screen at Beyond Fest Chicago and New Orleans’ Overlook Film Festival.
Continuing the exploration of the original film’s infamous ‘Is it real or not?’ conceit, the reboot follows a woman working as a content moderator for a major video platform who discovers what appears to be re-enactments of murders from Faces of Death.
In an online world where nothing can be trusted, she must determine whether the violence is fiction or unfolding in real time.
Barbie Ferreira (“Euphoria”), Josie Totah (“Saved by the Bell”), Aaron Holliday (Cocaine Bear), Jermaine Fowler (Sorry to Bother You), and pop superstar Charli XCX also star.
Daniel Goldhaber (Cam, How to Blow Up a Pipeline) directs from a script he co-wrote with Isa Mazzei (Cam).
Legendary Entertainment, Don Murphy & Susan Montford of Angry Films Entertainment, and Adam Hendricks & Greg Gilreath of Divide/Conquer produce. Mazzei, Derek Bishé, and Rick Benattar serve as executive producers.
Filmed back in 2023, Faces of Death is rated R for “strong bloody violence and gore, sexual content, nudity, language, and drug use.”
