Jennifer Jason Leigh has joined the cast of “Bishop,” a thriller in the works for Prime Video from Amazon MGM Studios. Leigh will play Jillian Graves in the show — the sister to Lincoln Graves (played by John Malkovich) and aunt to title character Bishop Graves (Joel Kinnaman).
“Bishop” was picked up at Prime Video last September. The series, an original idea from co-creators Little Marvin (“Them”) and Tony Saltzman (“Dexter: Resurrection), centers on Bishop — described as “brilliant, battle-scarred – will put all of his skills to the test in the hunt for an elusive killer targeting San Francisco’s moneyed class. As this increasingly audacious killer develops a devoted following among the city’s powerless, Bishop becomes convinced these murders connect back to SF’s most powerful man, his own father, Lincoln Graves.”

Little Marvin, who has an overall deal with Amazon MGM Studios, will serve as showrunner in addition to co-creator and exec producer, while Saltzman is also co-creator/EP. Roy Lee is a non-writing executive producer, as is Miri Yoon of Vertigo. Amazon MGM Studios, where Little Marvin is under an overall deal, will produce.
Leigh is repped by CAA and Untitled Entertainment.
