Jump Source Announce Debut LP 'Fold', Share Two Tracks
Skip to ContentNew MusicJump Source Announce Debut Album Fold Feat. billy woods, Helena Deland, BEA1991, & More: Hear Two TracksBy Tom Breihan12:16 PM EST on February 26, 2026Share on FacebookShare on RedditShare on EmailShare on Bluesky3CommentsThe Montreal dance producers Patrick Holland and Francis Latreille both make music on their own — Holland under his government name, Latreille as priori. Both of them had supporting roles on James K's Friend, one of last year's best albums. The two of them also make music together under the name Jump Source. Back in 2019, they released the first in a series of EPs that now has six entries. This spring, they'll drop Fold, their first proper album, and it's got a fascinating list of contributors. On Fold, Jump Source have collaborations with serious best-rapper-alive contender billy woods, genre-blurred alt-popper BEA1991, and fellow Montreal electronic duo CFCF, among others. They've shared two early tracks, and I'm into both of them. "Shattered" is not a Rolling Stones cover. It's a chilled-out, evocative techno jam with a precise, whispery vocal from singer-songwriter Helena Deland. (Someone named Ross Meen has a credited feature, too, but I don't know who that is.) "Affect" is quietly blissful house collab with Toronto producer Loukeman. I especially like the big early-'90s feelings on "Shattered." Below, check out both songs, the Fold tracklist, and Jump Source's upcoming gigs.TRACKLIST:01 "Nice & Edgy "02 "Shattered" (feat. Helena Deland & Ross Meen)03 "Affect" (feat.
