The former frontwoman of Priests is releasing another solo album titled Perfect Woman Sound Machine, Vol. 1 next month via GAK Records. It's the follow-up to her 2022 solo debut Barbarism, which honestly fucking rocked. Greer has already released a couple singles from the project, including "Expo '70" and "Talk To Leslie." Today, she's back with another called "Unglued," which reminds us that this world teaches us that nothing is ever enough. "Western hegemony compels me and everybody I know to always want more," she announces over guitar screams and a whirling sense of despair.Greer says that the song was inspired by imagining "Kim Gordon fronting a Cleveland proto-punk band." She adds, "I don’t want to play the character I was in the band Priests all the time, but she’s part of me, like all the other characters I like to inhabit when songwriting. I wanted her to have a moment on this album, amidst others with more nuance."The new single comes with a video was directed by Greer. It's a collage of retro video footage, snippets of modern goths in a high school gymnasium, and clips of Greer dancing freely in a yellow dress. The visual was "lightly inspired by Gena Rowlands' performance in the John Cassavetes film Opening Night."Watch the video for "Unglued" below.
