Mary Shalaby has joined the cast of Dan Goor and Luke Del Tredici’s untitled NBC comedy pilot.
She will play Raya, who is described as “the flagrantly disinterested receptionist at the Grant Taggart PI Agency.”
Specific plot details about the project are not yet known; the official logline simply states that it “continues the proud tradition of Los Angeles private eyes that began with Philip Marlowe and will end with this show.” Jake Johnson leads the cast as Mickey, a talented private investigator who is “smart, cynical and heartbroken, but trying to pretend he’s not” and works for Garner Taggert (Keith David), “a tough guy with somewhat antiquated views of the world” whose son Mitch is the agency’s main PI alongside Mickey. The cast also includes Jane Levy as “whip smart” investigative journalist Faye.
