We started living together, jamming together, doing everything music-related together.Eventually, we were like, ‘Should we actually do something with this?’ That turned into years of ideas sitting in a Dropbox — secretly working on this project the whole time — until we finally started pulling songs out and bringing them to life.”What track of yours means the most to you, and why?“Honestly, it’s hard to pick just one because these songs are so old and tied to a really big period of growth for both of us — as individuals, as friends, and as collaborators.Listening back now feels like reflecting on where we were at that time, stuck in our little delusional bubble, making music in a bedroom studio and hoping people might connect with it.”What’s one song of yours that always goes off live?“The punkier songs definitely send people a little wild live — but honestly, some of the unreleased songs have been getting the biggest reactions. You’ll just have to come to a show and figure it out.”How do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?“We want people to feel equal parts enraged and empowered."Who’s your dream collaborator?“Kim Gordon. She’s the blueprint.”What’s something your fans might not know about you?“Outside of the band, Evie also directs music videos and does styling and makeup, and has had a heavy hand in all of Public Figures’ visuals. She’s also worked on videos for other artists like Snowy Band, Bad Bangs and Delivery, so the visual world of the project is very much part of who we are.”LoadingPosted 1 Mar 20261 Mar 2026Sun 1 Mar 2026 at 1:00pmShareFacebookX (formerly Twitter)Meet PASH: This Week’s triple j Unearthed Feature ArtistMeet Lucky: This Week’s triple j Unearthed Feature ArtistDuration: 4 minutes 16 seconds4m 16sSaddle Up for Your New Favourite Band: HORSE Duration: 4 minutes 28 seconds4m 28sWith a new album recorded at Abbey Road, this week's Unearthed Feature Artist Selve are making history.Duration: 4 minutes 30 seconds4m 30sUnearthed Feature Artist Jett Bylton is making “capital-P Pop songs”Duration: 3 minutes 3m Meet Hobart-based singer-songwriter Abby Wallace and her gorgeous blend of indie-folk-popDuration: 5 minutes 30 seconds5m Sleepazoid, the Naarm-based five-piece that are wide awake and shaking up alt-rock.Duration: 5 minutes 10 seconds5m Back to top
