Production will begin this month, and the new season is set to air later this year. The news comes following the first season of the show’s successful June 2025 debut, with the series becoming Peacock’s second highest-reaching unscripted original freshman series. “Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together,” starring the titular superstar music couple, gives audiences a behind the scenes look at the iconic duo’s high-profile lives. While they quietly broke up and reunited in the time since, as of 2026, the two have solidified themselves as a musical power couple. They welcomed their son, KK, in July 2024.  Popular on Variety The “Hot In Here” rapper first released his debut solo single in 2000, and has gone on to sing hits including “Ride Wit Me,” “Dilemma” and “Just a Dream.”  He’s been nominated for 12 Grammy Awards, and has won three. Ashanti debuted as a solo artist with “Foolish” in 2002, and went on to earn eight Grammy nominations and one win over the course of her career. She also acted in the 2006 rom-com “John Tucker Must Die.”  Both Nelly and Ashanti executive produce, alongside Tina Douglas, J Erving, Rebecca Quinn, Jennifer O’Connell, Nick Alarcon, Steve Michaels, Simon Thomas, Ariel Brozell, Oji Singletary and Asabi Lee.
