'New Fears Eve' - New Retro Trailer Pays Tribute to the Classic 'Friday the 13th' Original Trailer - Bloody Disgusting
If the scream gets caught in your throat, The Doctor will cut it out. New Years-themed slasher movie New Fears Eve from producer Jeffrey Reddick (Final Destination) is now streaming on Screambox, and the team is celebrating Friday the 13th today with a brand new retro-style trailer that pays tribute to the iconic “countdown” trailer for the original Friday the 13th. Watch the retro trailer below and read on for everything you need to know! In New Fears Eve from directors P.J. Starks & Eric Huskisson… “When three co-workers are forced to host their company’s annual New Year’s Eve party, they’re not prepared for an unexpected guest: a serial killer dubbed “The Doctor,” who targets the party and turns the night of celebration into a bloodbath and fight for survival.” The cast includes Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie), Hannah Fierman (V/H/S), Lily Claire Harvey, Jay Woolston, Alyssa Rhoads, Roni Jonah, Turner Vaughn and Jesse MacDonald. The film’s Special Effects were handled by Taintbad Productions’ Stephen J. Hodke with Isa Suzanne and Blaze Bolden.  Stream New Fears Eve on Screambox now! P.J. Starks previews, “I’m a huge fan of slashers. Particularly the 1980s. I repeatedly watch Hell Night, My Bloody Valentine, Madman, The Prowler, and the like. It was only a matter of time before I conceived my own take on the sub-genre. Once I came up with the title, which randomly popped into my head one day, it was a matter of fleshing out the story.” “The film is chocked full of gore and guts, not to mention a fuck ton of dick jokes,” Starks continues. “Think Office Space meets Scream meets Office Christmas Party meets Terror Train. It has heart and it has fart. There’s also over forty plus all practical kills in the movie. Eric and I both are big fans of in-camera special effects so gore hounds should have a blast with our movie. We know we won’t please everyone, but we believe there’s something for most everyone in our holiday comedy slasher.” Eric Huskisson adds in a statement of his own, “You will be introduced to The Doctor, the antagonist of the story. He will wreak his surgical madness in some elaborate kills that everyone will be talking about long after they have seen the movie. I am excited Screambox subscribers will get to see what true low budget indie horror is all about.” Related Topics:New Fears EveScreambox John Squires Writer in the horror community since 2008.
