Nicole Kidman got honest about her turbulent 2025, when the prolific actress grabbed global headlines by filing for divorce from country star Keith Urban after a 19-year marriage.
In a roving cover story with Variety, the Oscar legend admitted that the deeply personal issue forced her into a kind of retreat.
“Last year, I was quiet. I had other things going on. I was in my shell,” said the star of “Scarpetta” which releases Wednesday on Prime Video.
Documents were filed in late September last year. The couple shares two daughters, 17-year-old Sunday and 15-year-old faith. Kidman said her priority is keeping her family unit together, as all parties move toward positivity.

“I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good. What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that. Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect,” she said. “I’m staying in a place of, “We are a family,” and that’s what we’ll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women.”
