Deadline reports that Wilson will portray Abby’s father, Jerry, while Ritter will play a WLF soldier named Hanley. Interestingly, Ritter had an uncredited cameo as a clicker in Season 1, appearing opposite his real-life wife, Melanie Lynskey. Kaytlin Dever stars as Abby, from whose perspective the upcoming season will be told, alongside Bella Ramsey as Ellie. Isabela Merced, Gabriel Luna, and Jeffrey Wright also star. Season 2 cast members Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle, and Spencer Lord have been promoted to series regulars. Clea DuVall (The Faculty) and Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (Bumblebee) will also appear in Season 3. HBO renewed “The Last of Us” for a third season ahead of its Season 2 premiere, but it’s expected to be the final chapter of the post-apocalyptic drama series. The Last of Us video game co-creator Neil Druckmann stepped down as co-showrunner last year, leaving Craig Mazin (“Chernobyl”) as the sole showrunner for Season 3. From HBO and Sony Pictures Television, the series is produced by PlayStation Productions, Word Games, Mighty Mint, and Naughty Dog. Executive producers include Druckmann, Mazin, Carolyn Strauss, Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil O’Connor, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, Evan Wells, and Halley Gross.
