With an impressive stage design, smooth vocals, and infectious dance moves, he got the crowd in the groove. His newest release CAOS (Spanish for “chaos”), sees a deeply introspective Miguel in the wake of chaos in his life that pulls from relationships, fatherhood and identity. He explores these themes, not just discovering himself but musically, with an aggressive and darker sound. The stage design was impressive, with the singer and his band at times standing atop an overturned car. Not afraid to make a statement, a red spray-painted “ICE Out” read on the doors of the vehicle. Set pieces like a large, suspended, colossal head and moving stage lighting brought everything together. Songs like “New Martyrs”, “RIP”, and “CAOS” brought the sounds of the new album to life, highlighting a different side to Miguel musically, while hits like “Girl With The Tattoo (Enter.lewd)”, “All I Want Is You”, and “Sure Thing” proved to be timeless classics.
