Wave to earth had plaid the Hollywood on its first North American tour in 2023; and now, he took the stage that had once hosted his greatest inspiration.Having only started making music three years ago, Yung Kai’s ethereal, melancholic, and "oceanic" sound has gone viral on social media, gathering a massive global audience. The sold-out show was packed with fans swaying in a sea of phone lights that mirrored the rhythmic, aquatic pulse of his setlist.  Gary Cai Yung Kai performed a handful of fan favourites, including his biggest hits like "do you think you could love me?" and "wildflower," as well as tracks from his latest album Stay with the Ocean, I’ll Find You such as "how do you dance" and "my light."The local pop star also paid tribute to wave to earth by performing a cover of one of their most popular tunes, "bad". To close out the night, Yung Kai performed the long-anticipated and his most popular song: "blue". As the first chords rang out, the crowd erupted. Fans didn't just sing along; their voices swelled in a deafening, heartfelt harmony that clearly moved the young artist.It was a full-circle moment for the hometown star, standing on the same stage where he once watched his own idols, now looking out at a sea of fans who had found a piece of home in his music.
