In January, Jenny Hollingworth released Quicksand Heart, her debut as Jenny On Holiday. Turns out Rosa Walton, the other half of the British alt-pop duo, has a solo album of her own.Walton's debut album Tell Me It's A Dream will be out in June on Transgressive, the same label that puts out Let's Eat Grandma and Jenny On Holiday. "The idea of doing a solo project was never about stepping away or doing something on my own for the sake of it," Walton says in a press release. "It started as writing to process things and stay grounded, and it grew into something shaped by the people around me and the joy of making music together."Lead single "Sorry Anyway" is a bit more rocking than the sparkling '80s pastiches heard on Quicksand Heart, but despite the distorted guitar here, it nicely complements what her bandmate's doing. Walton offered this statement:This song is about not letting anyone hold you back, whether in a relationship or in chasing your ambitions. It’s about doing your own thing, embracing who you are, and not caring about fitting into boxes, and also trying to inspire others to have this attitude. We had fun making it - it’s the flippant, messiness that makes the song, and it was also the beginning of a new vocal style for me. I’m owning all parts of myself.Watch director Ivana Bobic's video for "Sorry Anyway" below.TRACKLIST:01 "Heart To Heartbreak"02 "Sorry Anyway"03 "Taking The Roof Down"04 "Wave Machine"05 "When Will It All Reveal"06 "Halfway Round The World"07 "Prettier Things"08 "July"09 "Romance Is Dead On"Tell Me It's A Dream is out 6/5 on Transgressive.
