Shakira wrapped up her record-breaking string of sold-out shows in Mexico City with one final, crowd-raising performance at Zócalo on Sunday night.
Zócalo is one of Mexico’s most symbolic public spaces, a historic site that holds deep significance for the nation and its people. Shakira chose the square for the final Mexico date of her global “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour,” staging a massive free show as a tribute to both her impact on the country and her own history there. Previously, she performed at Zócalo in 2007, drawing more than 200,000 fans.
Shakira’s return to Zócalo proved even massive, as the free-to-attend gig saw a record-setting 400,000 people turn out to see her perform a 25-song set of greatest hits and fan favorites. Notably, she was joined by Beéle to perform their new song “Algo Tú” live for the first time, and dusted off “¿Dónde Estás Corazón?” for only the second time since 2019.

The Zócalo show capped a legendary run at Estadio GNP Seguros. Rather than one or two sold-out nights at one of the world’s premier venues, she delivered an astonishing 13, moving more than 800,000 tickets in Mexico City and setting the all-time record for the most sold-out performances in the stadium’s history.

Shakira’s epic Mexican tour finale also comes just days after she was revealed to be a nominee for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s 2026 class.
Next, she’s set to play Brasil’s Copacabana Beach in May, following similar blockbuster shows by Madonna and Lady Gaga in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
