The first trailer for Marvel blockbuster Spider-Man: Brand New Day is here, picking up with Peter Parker (Tom Holland) after the devastating events of 2021’s No Way Home.

The previous Spidey adventure saw Parker ask Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to erase the memory of him from the world, in order to protect the people he loves after his identity is leaked. In the new clip for the forthcoming movie, we see him pining for his former girlfriend, MJ (Zendaya). Check out the trailer in full below.

Bickering during a high speed chase, they appear to both be on the same side, albeit with differing methods.
Parker also begins to experience a change in his powers, which sees him reconnect with Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), aka The Hulk, who doesn’t remember him.
A voice-over then explains that spiders experience “three life cycles”, and that they can be “vulnerable to threats” when between cycles. However, the voice-over concludes: “for those spiders who make it through, it amounts to a kind of rebirth.” The explanation coincides with a shot of Parker’s eyes turning black, implying this change may make him even stronger.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day comes to UK cinemas on July 31, and is the last chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) before the epic Avengers: Doomsday, which arrives December 18.
