Stavros Halkias has joined the cast of Glen Powell‘s upcoming comedy movie about a country western star in free fall, directed by Judd Apatow.
Sources tell Variety the comedian and “Bugonia” star will play Powell’s character’s agent in the untitled film, which will premiere on Feb. 5, 2027, via Universal Pictures. It will be directed by Apatow, who co-wrote the script with Powell.
Halkias joins previously announced cast members Cristin Milioti and Madelyn Cline. The comic rose to fame as a founding member of the podcast “Cum Town” and now hosts “Stavvy’s World.” In 2023, he put out the Netflix special “Fat Rascal,” and the following year he wrote, produced and starred in the film “Let’s Start a Cult.” He appeared in Steven Soderbergh’s sci-fi series “Command Z,” and next he’ll be seen in the A24 Anthony Bourdain biopic “Tony.”

Apatow is producing the untitled country music film through his long-standing Apatow Productions overall deal with Universal, where he made his 2005 directorial debut “The 40-Year-Old Virgin.” The studio is also home to Apatow’s “Knocked Up,” “Funny People,” “This is 40,” “Trainwreck” and “The King of Staten Island.”
