'The Last Hail Mary' Trailer - The Asylum's 'Project Hail Mary' Mockbuster Is Out Now - Bloody Disgusting
The Asylum’s latest mockbuster is The Last Hail M.A.R.Y., which aims to cash in on the excitement for Project Hail Mary. The death of our planet will come from the source of life in the sci-fi action film, now available on VOD. Watch the trailer below. When the planet Mercury is swallowed up by the Sun’s gravitational pull, a team aboard the Interplanetary Space Station — including a suspicious Martian scientist — must race to reverse the effect before Venus, and even Earth, are destroyed forever. Juliette Cecile, Esmeree Sterling, Brennen Amonett, Canyon Prince, and Bianca Foscht star as the crew that will give all the science they’ve got. Marc Gottlieb (Ape vs. Mecha Ape) directs from a script he co-wrote with Ryan Ebert (Shark Side of the Moon). The Asylum’s David Michael Latt and David Rimawi produce. Wells Adaptation Published 53 minutes ago on March 10, 2026 By Alex DiVincenzo Netflix has wrapped production on In the Valley of Shadows, a Colombian feature adaptation of H.G. Wells’ 1904 short story The Country of the Blind. Deadline has revealed the first images from the project, known in its native Spanish as En El Valle De Las Sombras. Gael García Bernal (Old) and Natalia Reyes (Terminator: Dark Fate) lead a cast that also includes Claudio Cataño (“One Hundred Years of Solitude”), Diego Vásquez (“El Chapo”), and Margarita Rosa de Francisco (“Narcos”). Sebastián Cordero (Europa Report) directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with María Camila Arias (“One Hundred Years of Solitude”). It follows Álvar Toledano (García Bernal), a mountaineer who falls into an isolated valley inhabited by a community that has been blind for generations. Toledano is convinced of his superiority, but soon discovers that his ability to see is considered a disturbance rather than an advantage among the people of the valley. As he tries to adapt, Álvar falls in love with Medina (Reyes), the woman caring for him. Álvar must decide whether to renounce who he is in order to belong, or whether the price of seeing is to flee the valley of shadows. Dynamo (The Hidden Face, “One Hundred Years of Solitude”) produced the film for Netflix, with Mirlanda Torres serving as executive producer. In the Valley of Shadows was shot across locations in Boyacá and Cundinamarca, Colombia. It will receive a theatrical release locally before dropping worldwide on the streamer.
