The Lemon Twigs have announced their sixth studio album, Look for Your Mind!, and its lead single, “I Just Can’t Get Over Losing You.” They’ve also confirmed dates for a spring and summer tour that’ll stretch over multiple countries.
Brian and Michael D’Addario’s new album, Look for Your Mind!, arrives May 8th via Captured Tracks. Along with the brothers, the record features the band’s live members, Reza Matin and Danny Ayala, as well as Tchotchke’s Eva Chambers. Per a press release, the project is marked by an “undercurrent of paranoia and suspicion.”

The first song from the album that’s been revealed is “I Just Can’t Get Over Losing You” — a nostalgic tune that could be the theme music for a mid-1960s beach trip with your best friends. Although it sounds euphoric and jovial, its subject matter hits pretty deep. They’re singing to an ex-partner whom they just can’t seem to remove from their mind. Those who know, know. It’s a very real phenomenon you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy.
