As longtime songwriters themselves, the duo said they were drawn to the strength of the composition, noting their appreciation for artists who demonstrate a strong instinct for building memorable pop songs. Alongside the cover, The Veronicas also performed their breakout hit “Untouched,” the 2007 single from their album Hook Me Up.
