'Untamed' Season 2 Enters Production, Eric Bana to Investigate a Mysterious Death in Hawaii - Bloody Disgusting

Production has commenced on the second season of Netflix’s mystery thriller series “Untamed,” with filming taking place on location on O’ahu and Hawaii. Eric Bana returns to star as special agent Kyle Turner. He’s called to investigate a mysterious death in Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park, where local tensions and the volatile, living landscape become an unpredictable force. The cast also includes Shea Whigham, Moon Bloodgood, Kekoa Kekumano, Luciane Buchanan, Kelly Hu, Moronai Kanekoa, Robbie Magasiva, Myra Molloy, Branscombe Richmond, Matthew Keoni Sato, and Joe Tippett. The first of Season 2’s six episodes will be directed by Nick Murphy (The Awakening), who helmed two episodes in Season 1. From Warner Bros. Television, the series is created by father-daughter showrunners Mark L. Smith (The Revenant, Twisters) and Elle Smith (The Marsh King’s Daughter). “We’re excited to explore the pristine landscapes and cultural identity of a very different national park, and find Turner in a new state of mind, outside the comfort of Yosemite,” said the Smiths. “Untamed” Season 1 debuted at #1 on the Netflix global charts upon its release last July and became the third most watched title on Netflix in the second half of 2025 with 92.8M views.
