Packed with pop songs, the musical reframes the classic love story as a glittery, high-energy celebration of autonomy and reinvention.Following that is Beauty and the Beast, returning to the stage in a new North American touring production. The fairy tale arrives with updated sets and costumes, while keeping the Oscar-winning songs that have made it a cross-generational favourite and a tale as old as time.January brings Mrs. Doubtfire, based on the hit film about a struggling actor who disguises himself as a nanny to stay close to his children. Expect fast-paced fun costume changes, broad comedy, and a family story that still lands. In the spring, Hamilton returns for an extended run. Lin-Manuel Miranda’s genre-blending phenomenon continues to draw crowds worldwide with its mix of hip-hop, R&B, and traditional musical theatre, retelling the rise of Alexander Hamilton with sharp lyrics and choreography.Closing out the season is The Bodyguard, adapted from the 1992 film. The romantic thriller pairs a story of danger and devotion with Whitney Houston’s catalogue of hits, including “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” and “I Will Always Love You.” Broadway Across Canada 2026/2027When: September 29 to June 13Where: Queen Elizabeth TheatreTickets: $329+ for subscription packages, available here.
