By Echo Apsey 5th March 2026 Credit: Capcom Resident Evil Requiem has become the fastest selling game in the series and its success has fans questioning if the game will get any additional DLC or updates, including the missing Mercenaries mode which has become a staple of the franchise. Advertisement Resident Evil Requiem could receive the Mercenaries mode in a free or paid update, similar to what we have seen with previous recent games in the series. Although, the mode isn’t in the game currently. It seems unlikely that the mode will completely skip the game given its popularity and the success of Requiem. But, we will keep this page updated as we hear more. Additionally, Jill and Ada have been leaked in various forms and points, but don’t appear at all in Requiem, which could suggest they will play a pivotal role in a Mercenaries mode as playable characters or in DLC. We may hear more during the Summer PlayStation showcase where previous updates and DLC for Resident Evil games have appeared.
