The Canadian band just announced two shows in November at the Pearl in Vancouver. The last time the band played in Vancouver was last year when it sold out the Vogue for the 20-year anniversary of its ground-breaking album, Apologies to the Queen Mary. Before that, it played shows that were less than full at both the WISE Hall and the Commodore. But since their song, "I'll Believe in Anything" was given a massive spotlight in Crave's Heated Rivalry, which led to an explosion of popularity in the song and the band itself. A few months ago, we interviewed Wolf Parade frontman Spencer Krug, who played a solo show in Vancouver earlier this year. “Obviously nothing like this has ever happened to us,” Krug said about the streaming success of the song. “I’m curious to see what it means. I assume after a while it won’t be viral, and then does it disappear again? We’re not getting rich off this or anything—it doesn’t amount to a huge amount of money. But I’m super grateful. It’s exciting.” Krug and the rest of his bandmates are clearly testing out what it's going to mean for them with two consecutive nights at the Pearl. Here's betting that they sell out both. After all, people just want to come to the cottage. Wolf Parade plays the Pearl on November 13 and 14. Tickets go on pre-sale tomorrow and are available here.
